Tata Motors Philippines today presented 9 vehicles from its passenger and commercial vehicle businesses, at the 2016 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). Participating in the MIAS for the third consecutive year, the products showcased are based on Tata Motors Horizonext philosophy, signifying world-class quality products, with an enriched sales and service experience.
To enthuse the entrepreneurial Filipino, Tata Motors Philippines showcased 6 commercial vehicles from the Tata Motors commercial vehicles stable. Among these is Tata Motors new Tata SUPER ACE and Tata ACE family of small commercial vehicles, Tata PRIMA, in the heavy commercial vehicles category, creating the Value Trucking segment and an accessorized version of the Tata XENON 4X4 pick-up.
For the passenger vehicle customer, Tata Motors showcased an exciting range of diesel powered passenger cars, which are easy and smooth to drive, yet efficient, powerful and reliable, with the lowest cost of operations. The three Tata Motors passenger cars are – the spacious and comfortable Tata MANZA AURA, the youthful and sporty Tata VISTA IGNIS in full wrap around body kits, and the Tata INDIGO diesel sedan.

In the lineup, the contemporary Super Ace, 1 Ton Mini Truck comes with a host of luxurious car-like features to maximize driver comfort such as power steering, power windows, independent suspension, air con, cable shift gear and body colored trims along with a peace of mind warranty of 100,000 kms or 3 years, whichever is earlier.
Tata Super Ace is being showcased in two body configurations namely the Tata SUPER ACE FB Body with a total seating capacity of 14 passenger at the rear body plus driver and co-driver in the front cabin and the Tata SUPER ACE – School Bus with all front facing seats as per Philippines Land Transport Franchising and Regulatory Board’s new requirement.
Tata PRIMA 4038K (6X4) construction tipper equipped with a 370HP CUMMINS ISLe 8.9L high pressure common rail diesel engine is able to generate 370HP of maximum power with its 9-speed Eaton transmission. This vehicle is fitted with an 18 Cu.M box body and a Bogie Suspension for all wheels. It is suitable for all type of construction applications like aggregates movement, tankers and other municipal applications like garbage compactors, skip loaders etc.
Tata Ace HT light commercial vehicles powered by the fuel efficient 702cc diesel engine is showcased in two body configurations. The Tata Ace, which has been a successful product for Tata Motors with over 1 million vehicles sold globally is being displayed in both Rescue Boy and Food Truck body configurations.
The Tata ACE Rescue Boy, a unique application which can be used as the first -responder, multi-purpose vehicle with the patented roof boat system. This body configuration of the Ace may be put to a multitude of emergency usages and have feature like Rear Ambush Type seats which can be transformed into a spine board for medical emergencies, under seat storage for emergency equipment and supplies, standard fitment of emergency kit of two life vests, fire extinguisher and rescue boat oars. The Rescue Boy Roof boats comes with solar panel charger with internal charging points for power supply during emergencies.
The Tata ACE Food Truck on the other hand is a versatile raise-able rear body roof, to enable the occupants at the back to stand while selling their goods. There are also foldable counters inside for food preparation and for placement of cooking equipment. The whole rear body of the food truck is made up of stainless steel to ensure rust and corrosion free long lasting operation.
Alongside the heavy and light commercial vehicles, the very capable 2.2L DiCOR turbocharged diesel Tata XENON XT 4×4 pick up is being presented, equipped with aftermarket wheels and tyres, and a dynamic body kit with sports bar, which further accentuates the vehicle’s sporty and aggressive stance.
The Tata MANZA AURA on display, is a modern sedan, which makes a bold styling statement. Its strong side-door intrusion beams, a superior crash-tested cockpit design offer ample protection. The MANZA also comes fitted with a choice of factory features such as the advanced 2-DIN Music system, Bluetooth hands-free and steering mounted controls.
The Tata VISTA IGNIS is showcased as a stylish hatchback thoughtfully designed for families who prefer spacious vehicles. The Vista is reliable and fun-to-drive, a perfect combination of modern design, well-bolstered – comfortable seats and suspensions specifically designed for rough road surfaces.
In taxi livery the Tata INDIGO diesel sedan, Tata Motors sub-4 meter passenger car, is showcased as a perfect fleet or taxi vehicle – spacious, comfortable and durable. The diesel powered vehicle is an economical option, boasting high fuel efficiency, compared to petrol-run cabs.
Powered by Tata Motors’ acclaimed Quadrajet Common Rail Direct Injection Turbo-charged & Intercooled Diesel engine, these passenger vehicles deliver stellar fuel economy with power and torque.
